A summary of the top 10 casino slot game releases this quarter, that deserve your attention. I noticed whilst writing this that actually some of the these aren’t actually great, so we re-named this feature to the ‘Most Notable Casino Releases‘ 🙂

Worth noting that we’ve avoided Euro 2016 cash-in titles.

As usual our current favourites are emboldened:

1. Michael Jackson King of Pop from SG Interactive :- On the back of Net Ent’s ‘Rocks’ branded collection, SG delivers arguably the biggest name in pop music. Nothing new in terms of features but when you have the Smooth Criminal himself appearing in and out of the spins, it really leaves a great feeling behind.

2. Monkey King from Yggdrasil :- Really cool theme and soundtrack from Yggdrasil’s latest. Sticky wild that remains whilst you keep winning is a great feature, as is the bonus selector.

3. King Kong Cash from Blueprint:- Stereotypical quirky cartoon offering from the UK powerhouse. 5 bonuses and base game reel triggers aplenty. Although this feels slightly less polished than normal and the bonus “themed on the retro style platform game” is really not what you think it is…or should be.

4. Frozen Inferno from SG Interactive :- Another really great game from SG/Williams that is an adaptation of one of their older land based games. The dark ritualistic theme mixed with the fire and ice overlays is really well designed and the changing reel symbols and base game features is very unique and effectively executed.

5. Burlesque Queen from Playson :- Nothing new on the features front but a nice little game that focuses on a Burlesque theme which I don’t recall seeing used perviously.  Base feel feels quite volatile and punchy but only a free spin with a feature picker may see this game disappear into obscurity after its time in the sun.

6. Theme Park Tickets of Fortune from Net Ent :- Feels a little too childish, almost patronisingly so. The base game is a pretty dull and the symbol hierarchy would be great… if… you’ve just taken some shrooms. There are multiple bonuses but they simply aren’t enticing enough for anything other than a glancing look.

7. Leprechaun Goes to Hell from Play’n’Go :- A continuing story arc in Play’n’Go’s Leprechaun series in which this time the Leprechaun goes to hell. A really odd selection and I’m surprised these sorts of games garner play over truly original IP but hey ho. At least it has 4 tiers of jackpot to maintain interest.

8. Balthazar’s Wild Emporium from Core Gaming :- A great new era for Core Games as their production quality improves game after game. This is nice themed game build on last year’s Fracpot game with some great features and the top prize being 1,000 colossus freespins…which may take some time to run down if you’re lucky enough to trigger it.

9. Candy Bars from IGT :- Another adaptation of a land based game. Nothing new here. IGT, Candy based theme, jackpots and some wild reels.

10. Jimmi Hendrix from Net Ent :- I was really disappointed  with this one. Guns’n’Roses was a really solid game both in terms of polish and game features. This just feels soulless in both regards which is not a great feeling of juxtaposition given the iconic brand.
