Las Vegas, NV — June 12, 2015
Konami Gaming, Inc., a global leader in casino gaming and systems, announced that its SYNKROS™ casino management system has been selected by Southern California’s Barona Resort & Casino. With 2,000 casino slots and more than 90 gaming tables, Barona is installing Konami’s SYNKROS for its proven stability, extensive marketing capabilities, and flexible architecture in order to further empower Barona staff members to deliver exceptional customer service.
“From the most human elements to the many technical pieces, Barona is focused on delivering convenience, comfort, and entertainment value for our guests. So with customer experience as our top priority, Konami’s SYNKROS was the best solution to support the future of our systems environment,” said Rick Salinas, general manager at Barona Resort & Casino.
Barona has a proven history of innovation to enhance the customer experience. As far back as the 1990’s, Barona pioneered the industry’s first Ticket-In Ticket-Out (TITO) system. Today instead of ticket redemption kiosks, they employ teams of people with wireless handheld TITO validators to personally deliver all awards. Continuing its long tradition of technology-delivered service improvements, Barona has now selected SYNKROS for tools like the Konetic Mobile Employee App™ and True-Time Bonusing Tool Kit™.
“Our team evaluated all of the systems providers and determined that SYNKROS was best for on-floor casino marketing and customer loyalty, which have always been keys to our success,” said Salinas. “And looking at SYNKROS’ development cycle—with predictable annual releases resulting from a collaboration of user feature requests—we’re entering this partnership with an assurance that Konami is like-minded in maintaining its customer-first approach as well.”
“This is an important milestone for SYNKROS and we are excited for the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders like the Barona team to help innovate and explore new opportunities for player engagement and convenience,” said Steve Sutherland, chief operating officer and executive vice president at Konami. “In fact, Barona was Konami’s first customer in North America, dating back to 2000. The leadership at Barona have always been tremendous partners and we look forward to empowering them with some creative new ways to reach and retain expanding audiences.”
